🎃 Kids’ Ugly Doll Workshop – Spooky Sewing Fun for your Little Monsters!

👻  Our Kids’ Ugly Doll Workshop is the perfect mix of fun, imagination, and sustainability. It’s just what you’re looking for, for a kids creative, spooky activity this Halloween. In this special seasonal session, children will design and sew their very own ugly doll from old socks and scrap fabrics. These weird, wobbly, and wonderfully freaky creatures can become toys, mascots, or even unique Halloween decorations. 🧦🧵

Taught by Charlotte, a talented Costume Design student, this workshop is full of laughter, creativity, and hands-on learning. Kids will discover that sewing isn’t just practical – it’s also a way to unleash their wildest ideas and make something truly one-of-a-kind.

What is an Ugly Doll?

Ugly dolls are part toy, part artwork – quirky creatures made from mismatched scraps, odd shapes, and bold personalities. No two are ever the same, and that’s what makes them special! Kids love the freedom of creating something silly, spooky, or strange – especially around Halloween. 🧛🧟

Why join the Kids’ Ugly Doll workshop?

Boosts creativity – Children will use their imagination to invent a character, choose colours, add buttons, and stitch on details.
Learn sewing skills – They’ll pick up simple stitching techniques while gaining confidence with needles and thread.
Sustainability in action – By using old socks, scraps, and recycled materials, kids learn how to make something new from what they already have. 🌍
Builds resilience & problem-solving – Sewing teaches patience, persistence, and the joy of finishing a project.
Life skills for the future – Crafting shows children that making and mending is valuable, fun, and kinder to the planet than fast fashion.
Confidence through creativity – Taking home their own completed toy gives a real sense of achievement.

👻 Why kids will love this Halloween sewing workshop

If you’ve been searching for a Halloween craft workshop for kids that’s fun, creative, and a little spooky, this is it! Children love making Ugly Dolls because there are no rules – the weirder and freakier, the better. 🧟

In this eco-friendly sewing class, kids will:

  • Learn beginner sewing skills – simple stitches and easy techniques they can use again.

  • Get creative with recycling – turning old socks, scraps, and buttons into a one-of-a-kind toy or decoration. 🌍

  • Build confidence & problem-solving skills – sewing encourages patience, focus, and finishing what you start.

  • Take home a handmade keepsake – their own quirky monster to display, cuddle, or spook their friends with.

This isn’t just a fun craft activity – it’s a chance for kids to learn life skills, discover the joy of making something themselves, and celebrate Halloween in a sustainable way

Why parents love it 💜

This isn’t just a Halloween craft – it’s a chance for kids to gain hands-on skills, creative confidence, and an eco-friendly mindset.
