The services provided by Artisan Stitch are covered by the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Under these regulations, there are some services that are exempt so you won’t have a right to cancel a service. For example, hotel bookings, flights, car hire, concerts and other leisure events where the event takes place on a specific date or dates. The services offered by Artisan Stitch fall into this category of exemptions.
Therefore if you have to cancel your booking (i.e. you are no longer able to attend the event you have booked), you do not have a right to a refund. You may re-sell the place or send someone along in your place but please notify me of the substitute name, e-mail address and telephone number as early as possible.
Notifications of cancellation will be taken as final and you will not be able to have your place back again. It will be re-advertised or donated to a charitable organisation.
Therefore BEFORE you book, please ensure that you are free to attend on all the given date(s) and times, and that the course content and experience level are suitable for you. If you’re unsure about the content of the class, or its required skill/experience level, please contact me first. I’m happy to chat about the suitability of the class for you, or I may be able to suggest a more suitable alternative. The full class fee is payable in advance to secure your place.
Please make sure you are booking the correct course. Any changes or swaps due to errors will be subject to a £10 administration charge.
If you have any questions or concerns about the covid-19 protection measures in place, then please contact me for clarification BEFORE you book.
My classes require close proximity of participants to myself and each other frequently during each session. i.e. if you need help with your machine or your piece of work, and when watching demonstrations. I take the health and wellbeing of each one of my customers seriously and I therefore operate under the ‘Covid-sense’ policy. Unless you are medically exempt, you will be required to wear a face-covering for the duration of your session. Hand sanitiser is available at the door and on each table. Please use it when entering and moving around the room.
I may have to change the course schedule depending on demand for the class, so please book early.
If I have to make an unavoidable cancellation, I will endeavour to offer you an alternative date or give you a full refund of the course fee. I will not be able to refund travel, accomodation or other in costs.
I regret that I cannot reduce fees or give refunds for missed classes, whether due to holidays, illness or other reasons. If you would like catch up-time, then I’ll be happy to arrange a tutorial on my one-to-one tuition basis. (Due to covid restrictions, I’m not currently able to offer one-to-one sessions)
I regret that I cannot be responsible for any loss of, or damage to personal possessions either in transit or while in the studio. This includes sewing machines and by bringing your own machine, you accept all risks. Please take bags and personal possessions with you when leaving for breaks. The studio door will be locked if the room is unoccupied.
The content of the courses, as well as any follow-up notes provided are for exclusive use of attendees of the class. You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service without express written permission by us.
A breach or violation of any of the Terms will result in an immediate termination of your Services.
Your continued use of or access to our website or the Service constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
