This simple skirt is easy to make once you’ve learned how to use a sewing machine. So it’s a perfect first dressmaking project. This class aims to teach you the skills required to be able to make a gorgeous and versatile skirt of your own.
- how to measure yourself and find the right size of pattern
- understanding pattern markings, laying out and cutting of fabric
- using interfacing to stabilise the fabric
- basic sewing techniques: making darts, inserting a zip and adding a waistband
- taking up a hem
