Terms & Conditions

The services provided by Artisan Stitch are subject to the following terms and conditions and are covered under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Booking & Payment
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
  • Please ensure you are booking the correct course, and that you are available to attend on all scheduled dates and times. Courses are tailored to specific skill levels — if you are unsure whether a class is suitable for you, please get in touch before booking. I’m happy to advise or suggest a more appropriate alternative.
Cancellations & Transfers
  • All bookings are non-refundable. This is standard practice for time- and date-specific services such as classes, events, and travel.
  • If you are unable to attend, you may send someone in your place or re-sell your booking. In either case, please notify me as soon as possible with the substitute’s name, email address, and contact number.
  • Once a cancellation has been confirmed, it is final. Your place will be re-advertised or may be donated to a charitable organisation, and cannot be reinstated at a later date.
  • Requests to switch to an alternative course can only be considered if your original place can be filled, and will incur a £20 administration and transaction fee.
Recommendation: Booking Insurance
  • I strongly recommend that students take out appropriate insurance to cover the cost of your booking in case you are unable to attend due to illness, personal circumstances, or other unforeseen events. This is similar to travel insurance, and provides peace of mind should things change unexpectedly.
Missed Classes
  • I regret that I cannot offer refunds or reductions for missed sessions, whether due to illness, holidays, travel delays or other commitments.
Class Schedule & Cancellations by Artisan Stitch
  • Course dates and schedules may occasionally be adjusted based on demand. If Artisan Stitch needs to cancel a class, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund of the course fee. Please note: travel, accommodation, or other incidental expenses cannot be refunded.
Health & Safety
  • Artisan Stitch follows the Scottish Government’s guidelines for safer workplaces and public settings. To help safeguard the wellbeing of all participants and staff, Covid-19 protection measures (including mask-wearing if advised) may be in place. Please contact me with any questions or concerns before booking.
Personal Property
  • Artisan Stitch cannot accept responsibility for the loss of or damage to personal belongings, including sewing machines, either in transit or while on the premises. By bringing your own machine, you accept full responsibility for it.
  • Please take all belongings with you during breaks. The studio door will be locked when unattended.
Course Content & Copyright
  • All course content and any materials provided are for the exclusive use of attendees. You agree not to reproduce, share, copy, sell, or exploit any part of the course content or materials without express written permission.
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
  • Booking a course and continued use of our website and services constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
  • Any breach of these Terms will result in immediate termination of access to the service.
